Thai

Lately, I've had a quite strong resurgence in, what I will term, my "second" wave of Thai binges...second, because I had had one early in the year, however it was not exactly as well developed as this second wave. Lately, it has consisted of Pad Thai,
Coconut Ginger Rice Noodles, Mango Chicken with Bamboo Shoots, and Thai Iced Tea, which is, at least, a tri-weekly thing for me to now enjoy. There's something enrapturing about the Thai palette...spicy, while sweet and sour - it's basically, what I would define as the perfect food flavor.

Night of Flavors

Tonight, dinner was spent at Pazzo, which is at 326 Court Street, Williamsport, Pennsylvania. Small, gothic-esque, baroque, themed, and unique the restaurant is. I had, first, the Baby Arugula Salad, which was more of a behemoth of a salad than a "baby" - prosciutto, slices of actual freshly-cultured mozzarella cheese, roasted red peppers, all on a bed of baby arugula with a balsamic vinaigrette.

The main course, as they were out of Pork Pot Stickers with the Ginger-Soy Sauce (which I would have also gotten a side of my usual cup of [amazing] Crab Bisque), consisted of pan-braised Sea Scallops over Garlic-Mashed Butternut Squash...I don't even like squash, but this stuff was tantalizing; I'm now proud to say that I am a squash-eater. Dinner was polished off with a hearty slice of thick and sinful Tiramisu...with marscapone cream about as thick as the ricotta cheese in a canoli. I would be willing to bet this little 5"x5" square of dessert had more calories than a mac truck carrying Wal-Mart's month supply of in-store Pepsi products - yes, the Tiramisu was THAT good.
